Ivelina Abadjieva founded AWICST in 2015 as a network for women in computer science and technology.
Mrs. Abadjieva has 20 years of experience in the field of professional education, business and software development area. Ivelina Abadjieva’s career started as a researcher in the Institute for Bulgarian Academy of Science. She founded National Academy for Software Development – the first training center for software developers in Bulgaria. Ivelina Abadjieva is the owner of the most popular Java conference in Eastern Europe – Java2Days. She founded and managed several start-ups in the software development sector and, most recently she started a high-tech company in the Silicon Valley - United States.
As a founder and chairwoman Mrs. Abadjieva strictly follows her vision to develop the AWICST and to make it popular not only in the Eastern-European region but also to make it part of the worldwide organizations and the worldwide community of the women in technology and computer science.
